ARROW TRUCK SALES CONTINUES 2009 RETAIL EXPANSION EFFORTS WITH NEW STORE IN MINNEAPOLIS MARKET
Oct 2009
KANSAS CITY, MO (October, 2009) Arrow Truck Sales, Inc., the leading source of pre-owned trucks in North America, is opening another new store in Minneapolis, MN. Company-wide, this is the second new store opening for Arrow in the last 3 months. The new Minneapolis facility is located at 1300 New Brighton Blvd, just off Interstate 35W at the New Brighton exit. This location will serve the entire upper Midwest region, adding to their ability to serve the northern plains customers west of Arrow’s two current locations in Chicago, IL. The store will officially open on October 5, 2009.
"Even during the recent economic downturn, Arrow has continued to look at new markets and better ways to serve all our customers across the entire US and Canada," said Carl Heikel, Arrow’s President and CEO. "We know that at some point the economy will turn around." Heikel added, "We are positioning Arrow for what tomorrow will bring. We are building for the future by continuing our strong marketing efforts and analyzing and implementing new strategic expansion campaigns."
Mr. Heikel, who was recently appointed President, Volvo Used Truck Operations, stated that "With these additional responsibilities, I am dedicated to building a strong used truck operation throughout North America, utilizing all available resources and assets to enhance our market share. With these expansion efforts, we are attempting to be available to more customers on a personal basis in the Midwest to ensure that we address their transportation needs."
"I am thrilled to be a part of this rapid expansion, especially during these economic times," said Lee Wallace, Sr. V.P., Sales & Marketing. "While other companies are drastically reducing marketing and advertising costs, reducing staff or even closing up shop, Arrow understands that this market will change and we must be ready when it does. As a result, we will be in a much stronger position than our competitors in the used truck marketplace. I have always been very proud of the fact that I work for a company that encourages innovative ideas as a positive way of dealing with challenging times. As they say,'If you are not moving forward, you are moving backwards.'"
The store will be managed by Chad Fine, who was promoted from his position as Assistant Branch Manager at Arrow’s Cincinnati, OH location.Chad began selling trucks 3 years ago with Arrow. Prior to that, he spent 7 years as a Quality Manager for General Motors. He is also an Army veteran of Desert Storm and is involved in the VFW and American Legion.
